Dramatis Personae
The children all come from the Entity's power. There have only ever been a handful of true children and just as many pretenders led astray by other forces unknown. But they all play the same game.
Lady Luck
Lady Luck's existence is largely undocumented but her presence signals a turn of fortune, for better or worse.
The Wandering Man, Incursio Das
The origins of this man are too mostly speculated. What is known, however, is that he can walk between the fabric of the worlds, touching the various edges of material and immaterial existences. How he came to end up on Earth is unknown, was it a deal with the Entity? or an accident of his own doing? Only he truly knows.
The Life Taker, Vlad the Impaler
Also referred to as 'Dracula', general consensus has decided that this being may be behind the inception of Vampires. Though why the Entity encouraged this turn of events remains unknown.
Doctor Laech and Nurse Cecilia
Rumoured to be from Ancient Greece, Doctor Laech is one of the longest surviving Children to currently walk the Earth. His miracles are beyond most medicines. However, there is always a large cost to pay to gain his services.
The Blurred Man
One of the youngest Children to be granted a modicum of the Entity’s power. The Blurred Man’s origins are also a mystery. Some believe he fought in the Great War and was later preserved by the Entity in its domain with the only interaction that the Blurred Man would be allowed was by mirrors, allowing him to perceive the material world. Others speculate that this actually happened much later and that he was in fact a soldier that once fought in the later Resource War that defined much of the Fall Years. This is all compounded further by the fact that records of disappearances being linked to a man without a face predate his supposed incarceration within the Entity’s prison. This suggests that the Blurred Man unlike his siblings does not obey the natural flow of time and can be anywhere he needs to be at any given point in human history.
The Werewolf, Lycaon (Lycan)
As with most documented children of the Entity. The Wereman or Werewolf has just as many potential origin points and potential candidates to be the actual envoy of the Entity. One well-known example is the tale of Lycaon, King of Arcadia who upon sacrificing his son to the Altar of Zeus was transformed into a Werewolf. The implication here is that throughout human history this entity has worn the face of many a god in order to curse or gift power to those it takes interest in.
